Westfield Mall Discovery Zone

Lexington worked closely with the client and designer for two years to provide technical design support and research in the selection of eco-friendly, kid-safe materials. The Westfield Mall Discovery Zone is the first of its kind, for a children’s play area in a retail mall, to introduce environmental friendly materials with an eco-nature theme. Lexington fabricated and installed the final design in multiple Westfield Mall locations. The focus of this play area is to bring children and their caregivers together for a playful educational experience.

Heritage 1981

Building upon our successful relationship with Forever 21, Lexington fabricated and installed all of the elements for the company’s 3 Heritage stores located around the US. Lexington built everything from store fixtures to the storefront facades at their shop and then shipped and installed the items on site.

The Orchard Town Center Play Area

Inspired by the apple orchard that once grew at the Orchard Town Center’s location, this mall’s children’s play area is a kid-friendly art sculpture that invites innovative play. Lexington’s design features over-sized apples, apple slices and roots that children can climb through, under and over. Inside one apple, a six-foot long worm made of glass beads and marbles works its way through. Lexington’s fabricated and installed one-of-a-kind play area features soft, resilient rubber surfacing to accommodate safe play, overhead canopies and trees for comfortable shade, and thematic seating for caregivers.

Westfield Topanga

Lexington technically designed and built this concierge center and valet station for Westfield Mall in Topanga. The valet station was made from custom glass partitions CaesarStone counters and laminate tops. The front of the valet was covered with imported striated stone veneer. We also provided a digital information sight that is 14 feet long. The concierge station is a custom stand alone structure including lighted soffits, a large plasma screen for guest information, cabinets covered in imported striated stone veneer, and CaesarStone tops.

Westfield Century City

These wonderful benches are part of a major remodeling of the Westfield Century City Shopping Mall completed in December 2005. In an effort to create an up-scale environment for shoppers, Rios Clementi Hale Studios designed attractive eating and gathering areas created around the interiorly lite benches. Made of mangaris wood and steel, the benches also house planters made of fiberglass using live plants to create individual spaces for shoppers to rest and have a meal.

Van Cleef & Arpels Birdcage

Lexington was selected by the legendary jewelry company Van Cleef & Arpels to design, fabricate and install a unique jewelry exhibit named “The Birdcage”. The exhibit was inspired by Van Cleef & Arpels’ “Centennial Alhambra” 100 year anniversary, celebrated by showcasing their exclusive “Byzantine Alhambra Collection” of fine jewelry.

The project was especially challenging since the only information provided to Lexington were photographs of a previous exhibit in Hong Kong. Lexington’s talented designers and craftsmen recreated a scaled down version of the entire exhibit…from the small acrylic ring stands to the 30 foot diameter, custom fabricated “Birdcage”. Once fabricated, the exhibit was installed into Jewel Court at the world-class South Coast Plaza shopping center in Costa Mesa, CA for a 3 week run.

Lexington built this playful storefront theming for Toy Professor, a retailer of educational toys. Errico Designs was responsible for the concept design, and Lexington followed with technical design through installation.

Forever 21

Lexington fabricated custom reproductions of stylized Louis XIV furniture, display cases, acrylic chandeliers, acrylic candelabras, acrylic and metal light fixtures, and custom moldings for this new chic accessory store located in Glendale, CA. A large metal wire sculpture of the store's logo hangs behind the register desk.
